Gujarat government in action after Khyati Hospital scam


Khyaati Hospital Incident: The case of Ahmedabad’s Khyati Hospital giving false reports to common people despite having no illness and performing wrongful operations on them has become a topic of discussion in the entire state. In which Khyati Hospital wrongly performed angioplasty on patients, when you didn’t even need it.

There has been an uproar after it was revealed that the scam was being perpetrated by doctors, especially from reputed hospitals, to get government assistance. Now the state health department and the government have come into action mode on this issue.

Gujarat government has taken a big decision after the fake operation scam of Khyati Hospital. Under which registration will now be made mandatory in all hospitals of the state. After the Khyati Hospital incident, all hospitals will be investigated. Registration is mandatory by 12 March 2025 under the Clinical Establishment Act 2024. Inspection of hospitals will be conducted on the basis of applications received by 12 March 2025.

On the other hand, there are currently such CAT named hospitals in Gujarat will also be investigated. In which new definitions are coming up. Even in Vadodara, there is an apprehension of such a scam like Khyati Hospital. At Anjana Hospital, oxygen masks were fitted to people who did not need them. The pictures of the patient were also uploaded on the Ayushman card site.

Big decision after Khyati hospital scam

  • Registration will be made compulsory in all hospitals of the state.
  • After the Khyati Hospital incident, all hospitals will be investigated.
